Day 365... Of 2014

Yoooo!! 

So... My last day of 2014 has consisted of waking up at 9am, cleaning my new piercing (I got my Tragus pierced for xmas), getting dressed in my new top and cardigan and leaving to go shopping with the parents. 

My first stop was Superdrug and I bought a bottle of nail polish by Essie. 

I spent a good 20mins looking for a colour that I wanted to take home and use for New Years Eve, I picked up a Mint green.. Nope. I picked up a beautiful fuschia pink .. Nope. I then picked up a lilac.. Nope. I then found the colour I have and even then I debated whether I wanted it and then I thought.. I don't have a colour like this at home so I said what the hell, this is the colour I bought.

I then went next door to Boots to have a look round and then bought a lovely ceaser salad (which I'm currently enjoying as I write this).. 

It tastes so good! 

I kept going on my little walk about while the parents did the early shop and I went to WHSmiths, works and the Co-op where I got some fruit and then walked back to the car where some random lady put a price tag on the blinking car!!!! What the hell?!?! 

I finally got home and the first thing I did was purge.. Not a good start.. I hope I'm ok, I been feeling ill for a day now. What do I do about work? I'll wait to see if I'm ok later tonight. 

...It's not quite 3 hours later and I've painted my nails and tried to relax my tummy, every move makes me nauseous. . 

        I actually really love this colour!! 

I don't have anything planned for tonight really, the other family have decided to go out and leave us. (Apparently we aren't part of the family now). So I'm stuck in doors, on my phone, with the parents because I haven't got anywhere to go haha. 

I suppose it could be worse really...

I'm currently watching a crime show, not really watching .. It's more background noise lol until something interesting comes on. 

Right then, it's now 21:20.. I did fall asleep for 3hours and I can't quite remember my dream to be very honest.. I'm still feeling a bit sicky at this point unfortunately.. But on an up note I did fine the little party food my dad heated up! Ooooo.. I found me some spring rolls, so little hot dog rolls WITH KETCHUP! Little ribs, little eclairs and little curried chicken.. 

They all tastes good! 

My mum bought me the Miranda Hart  Live show!!!! So I'm clearly having a great night!

I swear I broke a rib laughing watching this! 

It's now..... 23:03 and I'm not feeling well at all unfortunately but I'm still kicking for midnight! I wish I could share the New Year with someone other than my parents for once lol, but not this year..

I have no idea what I'm gonna do for the remaining 58mins of this year but I can't imagine it's gonna be life changing! Haha. I genuinely hope everyone one of you that's made it this far down the blog (who hasn't died of bordem) will have a fantastic start to your New Year and I wish all the happiness for you all. 

Rightio.. 10 more minutes to go and I've just changed my bed sheets haha.. I do this every year so meh! :P.. I wonder what this year will bring me? I hope no more misery, every year seems to bring me that. 

So here's to 2015 and I'm starting the new year with a positive outlook and my resolution is... To cut down on my swearing (I'm the queen of the potty mouths haha).. 

So that was my last day of 2014. It may have been boring but that's your opinion.

Wow!! Hi everyone!  

I just had a look at my old blogs and the last one I wrote was in September! That's a long time haha.. 

But so much has been happening since then, I think I was just having trouble of thinking about what to write about? 

But since September, I've been on my Beauty Therapy course and I'm not quite sure if I'm loving it or no?! It's definitely had its ups and downs (mainly downs haha), I've landed my first job! But unfortunately being forced to leave because there's zero respect going on. 

I won't say where I work unless you follow me on any of my social sites.. 

But recently, I have been thinking more and more about starting up my YouTube channel? I'm not sure how I'm gonna go about it but I think I've got a good idea? 

I've bought a tripod for my phone to kinda get me started and hopefully I can record some (relatively) interesting videos haha, I was thinking about doing some random vlogs? Maybe some tutorials on how I go about things? And just random things I guess.. It's gonna be horrible at first because I don't know what I'm doing haha but I'm hoping I can get better at it as time goes by?! 

Maybe one of you nice people can give me some tips? Or some advice that I could use? That would be awesome if so!!

What a fortnight.

Hello, 

I wish I could start this blog off on a good note but unfortunately not this time my friends, not this time. 

A few weeks ago I was on my way into work, I wanted to stop off and get a hot drink from McDonalds. (Hot Mocha, it's soooo good!). Now before you open the door there is a small slope and it had been raining AND there WAS a "Caution Slippery when wet" sign so this was my fault but I had a awful slip.

I got up and the pain that ran down my neck and back was horrible, I got the drink and managed to get into work. I was in all kinds of crazy pain that day and no one cared (as usual) so I suffered and had to go home early because of it, I took some pain killers and fell asleep. 

I always go to sleep when I'm in horrible pain. 

I woke up and my neck and back felt better! "Great" I thought so I got up to go tell my mum, OH THE PAIN! My lower back was KILLING ME!!!!!! So, long story short I was crying a lot, couldn't walk, sit or lay down.. Went to the doctors and he said that I have a Muscle Sprain in my lower back, so he gave me some pain killers that have been working since and now I have to try and go back to work. 

I showed them proof of a sick note and they knew that I couldn't bend or do anything substantial! But they still have me the "guilt trip" ruse and made me feel bad for a well and a half! I needed to rest badly because I was starting college the following week, so I didn't go in on the Thursday (I needed the weekend to rest)! Btw, this is a voluntary job. I am DEFINITLEY NOT PAID!!! But yet they treat me like I am. 

I finally had time to rest but still in pain as I write this unfortunately and I start college (sometime) this week.. That another thing.. This college has been screwing me about all fricking month, but this will have to be another blog for another time! Trust me! 

I just had to let this off my chest, I have had a bad few weeks with no one to talk to. I just want this pain to go and I don't know what to do..

Not a good last night/day...

Hey guys, 

I'm having an incredibly day few days.. Last night seemed like me and my mother had good poisoning, I woke up feeling sick but still decided to go into work (BIG MISTAKE) and only do half a day. 

Now, I live in Britain and we all know what the weather is like don't we! So, I get to work and decide I want a hot drink from good Ol' McDonalds.. I go up to the door and the first thing that happens...... I SLIP! So now my neck is really hurting and I still have work to do, not good. 

I am now sitting at the till (I work in a charity shop for now) with a surdge of pain going up and down my neck! Thank you Britain for your constant raining and thank you Brentwood for putting down slippery pavement tiles, my neck and spine thank you. 

Unbelivable! I can quite easily keep going on and get even more angry over the situation but some part of me thinks it's not worth it, what's happened has happened and I just have to endure. 

See you in the next (hopefully not in pain) post..

Ugh, this is hopeless...

Hey Everyone, 

Now I understand that I haven't been posting anything that I promised I would! 

I have an explanation!...... Ok..... No I don't but I have been having some "inspirational" writers block. 

Writing has never come easy to me but I am trying, I really wanna do a blog but I just have nothing going on in my life except for college.. 

By the way, I'm starting a Beauty Therapy course!!!! How exciting is that! I cannot wait, I've got all my beauty kits and shoes. I'm just waiting for my uniform to arrive in the next few days and I'm all set!  Anyway..... As I was saying, nothing really happens in my life but I will try harder and try to write a blog a week! Even if I had to set a reminder haha.. 

I think the next blog I should write is about how my last hair dying attempt went wrong, I've been left with a blonde streak now and it's actually quite funny. I'll take a pic! 

So for now this blog is purely an apology for NOT blogging! 

I think the one thing I do like doing is rambling on a bit so maybe I could pic a subject and ramble on about that?! Yeah I think I will, but what of?! Oh man, see now thats where I just stop. Nope nothing. My brain I tell ya! We enough of this for now!

Been A Long Time..

Hellooo You Beautiful People!  

It's been an awful long time since I posted anything and that's mainly because I haven't had and kind of inspiration to write about.

I would love to get back into this just like my tweeting, I had stopped tweeting once I left college last year and for the same reason. 

This year, I feel a bit different towards life.. I've been thinking about things to do in the future, things like my education. I still want to be a MUA and a beauty Therapist, but I now want all this to take place in America. It's a long stab in the dark but hey.. I can have plans can't i?

Why America? I hear you ask! Well for me it's like this, I myself am half American, which means half of my family (who I've never met before) lives there.. They are all spread out from Atlanta, to Detroit, to Arizona. This would be a perfect chance to meet then as well as pursue my dreams of opening my own business and starting my own MU range. 

My plans are for me to go back to college this year part time so I can get my degree and license, so by the time I get to Arizona, I can go back to college as well as get a job in the local beauty salon to help fund for any expenses. 

While studying I can be thinking about my MU range, what kind of make up? It would be a range for Mixed Race people like myself. For years I have struggled dearly trying to find the "perfect" shade but nothing, the shades I have now are 1 shade to dark and 1 too light. 

This too me is not fair and I want to correct this issue, I also want to make it affordable for everyone and when I say affordable I mean AFFORDABLE! Not a couple of pounds or dollars under the the original brands asking price. 

Just the mere thought of doing all this is making me smile as I type this.  

I will definitely keep my plans updated on here and maybe ask you all to put your ideas across and help me out :)

This Week It's... Max Factor's Excess Volume Mascara!!..

Hi Guys!

This week I am so thrilled to announce that Max Factor's released a new mascara! Excess Volume! This is THE mascara I have been waiting for ever since I saw Covergirls Bombshell mascara. 

Now, for the past three weeks or so I have been purchasing mascaras every time they are released ha ha. First it was the Miss Manga (Which I keep mentioning he he), then it was Maybelline's Big Eyes Double Ended mascara and this week Its Max Factor's Excess Volume and to be very honest with you all, I am not disappointed! 

Now, the reason as to why I purchased this is very simple. I was watching my MUA Idol Kandee Johnson's "First Impressions" video on Covergirl's Bombshell mascara and I instantly wanted it. It was a double ended mascara and it was supposed to make your lashes longer as well as keep them from clumping, the way this is done is by applying the first end of the mascara (which has the plastic brush) 3-4 coats without letting it dry. The second end (which is the wire brush that you can bend into shape) you can apply 2 more coats of this on and it locks in the colour and keeps the lashes from clumping. 

I fell in love with it, the results were dramatic. I was trying to find it on line and after a couple of months I found it but it was way too expensive for me, I was upset to say the least and never thought I could find anything similar.. Until I saw the advert! I genuinely cried ha ha.. 

I went out 2 days later to get it and no one got in my way!  

I honestly could not wait to get it home to put it on and the picture/s below show the results on my lashes (result may vary).. The tube comes with 2 ends, the first end is marked '1 Extreme Volume' and has a plastic brush. The end marked '2 Dark Lacquer' has the more wired brush that is able to bend into shape, I personally thought it did everything I wanted it too and that was to make them thicker, not clumpy, a little bit longer and a little later on I did the good ol' scrub test (again from my idol) and it was very impressive, hardly any flecks and no smudging ("finally the review" you all must be thinking ha ha).

For all those who possible don't know the 'scrub test', it's very simple all you have to do is right before you take your make up of after a hard day's work/wear, is to take your hands and rub your eyes essentially. If there is any flecks or smudging, its probably not a top quality mascara (don't hold me to that but that's my opinion). I find that all my good (expensive) mascaras don't smudge or fleck.  

The application is very simple as well but I found it tricky at the beginning (I tend to rush things and don't read instructions ha ha):

1. Use side 1 (the volume base if you will) from the roots and wiggle upwards to the tips, make sure you get every lash in between.

2. Apply 3 coats of this to both upper and lower lashes and don't allow to dry between coats either.

3. While your lashes are tacky, apply 2 coats of the second side and this will dramatically make them darker and lock in the colour all day. :)

Well that's all for this review, I was not paid to do anything and I have only mention my Idol because I personally think she is a Make Up genius and everyone should witness her talent and AMAZING personality!.. I love you Kandee!!!!

Maybelline Presents... Big Eyes Volume Express Mascara!!!!

Hellooooo Everyone!.. 

Here's another blog/review/post (however you want to see it as) of 1 Maybelline product. The Big Lashes Double Ended Mascara!!!

Now, my last blog was about the L'Oreal Miss Manga and I can't stress enough how good it is, I totally recommend it to everyone!

This week, I couldn't wait to try the Maybelline Big Lashes Mascara, I have to also admit that I wasn't completely convinced at first glance, mainly because it said it's a washable mascara, that rings alarms bells in my head.. that's because if it's washable then the slightest bit of water could ruin your make up. 

So the next thing did was look on the website (which I'll put links to a little later) and it did add some more confidence to my decision to buy it, the one thing that drew my attention to it was the brushes. 

 

There are two brushes, one for the upper lashes and one for the bottom lashes. This made my face light up! finally a brush that's small enough to use on my bottom lashes and not having to worry about a random smudge, and I can use a bigger one for the top ones as well, what could be better?! 

(Miss Manga is better in my opinion) ha ha...

I couldn't wait to get home and try this new product with it's special brushes for upper and lower lashes! I put it on and I wasn't 100% blown away but it was very good, the Rocket Mascara that Maybelline produced was definitely better than this one but I'm not completely knocking it! 

Later that night I did a scrub test where right before I take it off I rub my eyes to see if it instantly smudges or flakes off, my conclusion was amazing, I furiously rubbed me eyes and there was no smudging and only 1 or 2 flecks.. for something that's easily washable with soap and water, it hardly came off. Very impressed!

I think you can definitely tell the difference, the brush for the lower lashes really help separate them, the brush for the upper lashes is good as well but unfortunately it couldn't stop the lashes on my right eye clumping. This is something that the Miss Manga did manage to do.. I have very stubborn lashes and so far only Manga has managed to restrain them, Big Eyes did work eventually but I had to put another layer on (which I personally don't like doing but if it gets the job done?!).

                         

Overall, I think that this mascara is a very good one in my opinion. I would like to use it as an everyday mascara because it's easy to get off at the end of the day and it does make a beautiful difference to the eyes.. Maybelline you done good on this one, they did do a better job on the Rocket mascara in all honesty but well done.

L'Oreal Presents.. Miss Manga!...

Hey everyone,

It has been a long time since I've posted anything and I have received so many thing over the holidays that I have wanted to blog about but never had the chance or been to tired.

But this is a blog that I couldn't not do (I think that makes sense ha ha), I recently saw an advert about L'Oreal's new mascara 'Miss Manga' and I instantly liked it even though I had obviously never tried it. I went on line to check the price to see if I needed to save up (new mascaras are sometimes expensive).. It was a great price, so I went out the next day and went to the drugstore and found it..

I took it home and immediately put it on. I have used so many different mascaras in the past and the all do individual things so I could never find one that did all of them.. after the application of Miss Manga I couldn't believe it, I have finally found a mascara that does everything.. it doesn't clump, it separates every single lash, makes them look so long and I don't have very long eyelashes (they're long but not very long) and most of all they look so black its amazing.. I looked like I had spider legs on my eyes, it was brilliant!..

The brush has a 360 bend in the middle that looked like rubber, I thought that it might annoy me at first but it helps so much during the application, the slight bend when pressure is applied is brilliant.. it helps separate the lashes without pushing them out from the root and speaking of, if you use the method of wiggling from the root upwards then the result is perfection in my eyes.

I have to admit that if it gets wet or damp, then it will smudge.. I have a problem where whenever I yawn my eyes water and regrettably I forgot I had the mascara on (I hadn't worn any make up since new years ha ha).. and it smudged, not badly but it smudged..

Overall, I'm so impressed with L'Oreal this time.. I will most definitely buy another tube so I never run out! I cannot wait to put it on again to (hopefully) get some nice comments.. Here's the picture I took the first time I put it on so I hope you all can see the difference it makes!

I am going to try and post some more make-up reviews or opinions to share with you all so bare with and you'll be entertained ha ha..
